Overview

Blepharoplasty is one of the most effective facial surgical procedures for rejuvenating the eyes. Over time, upper eyelid skin becomes lax and droops over the mobile lid, while the lower lid develops fat pockets and structural dark circles. Dr. Mubariz Mammadli performs combined blepharoplasty with a conservative approach that repositions tissue instead of removing it excessively.

The procedure uses hidden incisions in the natural crease of the upper eyelid and just below the lower lash line, leaving virtually invisible scars after healing. The result is a more open, younger and brighter look without an operated appearance. When indicated, repositioning of periorbital fat simultaneously corrects the structural tear-trough.

Frequently asked questions

How much does upper and lower blepharoplasty cost in Bucharest?

The price depends on case complexity and chosen technique (classic or with fat repositioning). The exact cost β€” including surgery, anesthesia and follow-ups β€” is provided at consultation.

How long is recovery?

Social activities can resume at 10-14 days once bruising fades. The final result is visible at 3 weeks, and scars become practically invisible within 3-6 months.

Will the scars be visible?

Incisions sit in the natural upper lid crease and 1-2 mm below the lower lash line. After maturation, scars are extremely discreet and often imperceptible to a casual observer.

How long does blepharoplasty last?

The result is durable, typically 10-15 years. Natural aging continues, but the eyelids do not return to their preoperative appearance.

Can it be combined with other procedures?

Yes. Blepharoplasty is frequently combined with brow lift, periorbital fat grafting, canthopexy or a facelift for complete upper-third facial rejuvenation.
